Stranded in Boringsville By Catherine Bateson

Rain May is moving to a small country town in Australia with her mother Maggie and she is not happy about it. They move into her grandmother’s old house, and one of the first things that Maggie unpacks is the fridge poetry set. This is a set of magnetic words that stick to the refrigerator which Rain May and Maggie use to create poems for each other. Then Rain meets the boy next door, Daniel. Will they become friends? What will school be like in this new place? Where is Rain’s father? To find out the answers to these and other questions, read this touching story about relationships.
